Aina Madagascar believes that fair trade systems are one of the best tools to make poverty History. This would present an innovative and sustainable solution to reduce poverty and lift the quality of lives in Madagascar’s poorest area. Our targets are to establish a self-sustaining, create fair employment, offer training and skills development for the local community, and support their capacity to develop cooperative networks within fair trade principles. |
Fair trade can be defined as an organized social movement and market based approach to empowering country producers and promoting sustainability. Aina Madagascar intent is to work with marginalized producers and workers member of the association in order to help them move from a position of vulnerability to one of security and economic self-sufficiency. It also aims at empowering them to become stakeholders in their own organizations and actively play a wider role in the global arena to achieve greater equity in International trade. |
